4. Confidentiality in Therapy

All therapy sessions are confidential and protected under state and federal laws, with a few legal and ethical exceptions:

If there is reason to believe you are at risk of seriously harming yourself or someone else
If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult
If records are subpoenaed by a court

In these cases, I am legally required to take appropriate action to ensure safety.
